Background / Overview

The New York State Community Action Association (NYSCAA) was created in 1987 to support New York State Community Action Agencies (CAAs) with information, professional development, and technical assistance to enhance their capacity to serve as effective community resources. The mission of NYSCAA is to strengthen the capacity of the Community Action Network to address the causes and conditions of poverty.

Purpose

NYSCAA is seeking proposals from consultants or companies to provide operational accounting and financial management services. The organization aims to outsource its finance functions for the period of January 2025 through July 2025. The scope of work includes bookkeeping services, financial reporting, budget preparation, audit preparations, and more.

Scope of Work

• Bookkeeping services (accounts receivable, payable, payroll, and reconciliation)
• Financial reporting (monthly reports, budget summaries, and financial presentations)
• Budget preparation and audit support
• Sub-grantee reporting for federal grants
• Preparation and filing of financial reports required by funders and the board

Duration

The contract will last six months (January 2025 – July 2025) and be reevaluated afterward.
