  • Employees Granted Time Off to Receive COVID-19 Vaccination: Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed legislation (S.2588-A/A.3354-B) granting public and private employees time off to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Under this new law, employees will be granted up to four hours of excused leave per injection that will not be charged against any other leave the employee has earned or accrued.

  • New York State and FEMA Open Community Vaccination Sites: NYS is partnering with FEMA to launch a pilot project to establish community vaccination centers statewide. Make your appointment by visiting New York's 'Am I Eligible' website or calling the state's COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829).

  • New York State Travel Advisory: Asymptomatic travelers entering New York from another U.S. state or territory are no longer required to test or quarantine as of April 1, 2021. Quarantine is still recommended for domestic travelers who are not fully vaccinated or have not recovered from laboratory confirmed COVID-19 during the previous 3 months.

  • Governor Cuomo Signs the COVID-19 Emergency Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Act of 2020: The Act extends the moratorium on COVID-related residential evictions until May 1, while also providing foreclosure protections to homeowners and small landlords. Many New Yorkers have faced economic hardship as result of the COVID-19 pandemic through no fault of their own, and this legislation helps ensure that no one is forced out of their home during this incredibly difficult period.

  • nystateofhealth: As part of the State's ongoing response to the pandemic, the open enrollment period for uninsured New Yorkers is extended through December 31, 2021. New Yorker's can also utilize COVID Alert NY which helps you get timely updates from around the state on COVID-19.

  • NYS Department of Public Service - Lifeline Telephone Service: While maintaining the social distancing needed to slow the spread of the coronavirus, it is critical that Americans have the connectivity they need to stay in touch with loved ones, telework, search for jobs, and participate in remote learning and telehealth.

  • American Red Cross - New York State Fatality Support Mission: NYS Red Cross regions have developed a program in response to COVID-19 to support individuals and families who have lost family members to death as a result of COVID-19.
