NYSCAA supports the statewide network by helping agencies connect, learn, share resources, build capacity, and respond to the changing needs of communities across New York. Our Mission The New York State Community Action Association strengthens the capacity of the Community Action network to address the causes and conditions of poverty. What NYSCAA DoesNYSCAA provides statewide support that helps Community Action Agencies strengthen programs, improve systems, connect with peers, and continue serving communities effectively. Training and Professional DevelopmentNYSCAA offers learning opportunities, trainings, leadership development, and resources that support staff and board members across the network. Technical Assistance and ResourcesNYSCAA provides tools, guidance, peer support, and technical assistance to help agencies strengthen operations and service delivery. Network ConnectionNYSCAA helps agencies connect with one another through groups, meetings, events, statewide communication, and shared learning opportunities. With a network of 47 organizations located throughout the Empire State that can reach every New Yorker, Community Action Agencies form a statewide service delivery system that connects individuals and families to services that support economic security. All 47 New York State Community Action Agencies are NYSCAA members.
