Strengthen and Sustain: Building Resilient Communities Conference

On behalf of the New York State Community Action Association (NYSCAA) and the New York State Weatherization Directors Association (NYSWDA), we are pleased to announce the dates for our 2021 annual conference. The conference will be held virtually on Wednesday, October 6th, Tuesday, October 12th, and Thursday, October 14th!

The 2021 Annual Conference will bring together representatives from New York's Community Action and Weatherization Agencies. Conference participants will gather to learn, be inspired, inspire others, and discuss strategies for meeting new challenges. We invite you to come to gain insights from a wide variety of speakers – from Community Action and Weatherization staff to academicians, policymakers, and more at this event!

New Jersey

New York State

  • COVID-19 Vaccine - Safe, Effective, Free: Find a NYS-operated vaccination site and get vaccinated.

  • Governor Hochul Signs Legislation Extending Virtual Public Meetings: Legislation (S.50001/A.40001) Allows New Yorkers to Participate in State and Local Government Meetings Virtually to Reduce the Risk of COVID-19 Spread; Helps People with Disabilities Participate in Their Government

  • Employees Granted Time Off to Receive COVID-19 Vaccination: Public and private employees time off to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Under this new law, employees will be granted up to four hours of excused leave per injection that will not be charged against any other leave the employee has earned or accrued.

  • NY Project Hope: Helping New Yorkers understand their reaction and emotions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through an emotional support helpline, educational materials, and trusted resources, NY  people can manage the changes brought on by COVID-19.

  • NYS Office of Children and Family Services: News and updates, training webinars, letters to childcare providers, and additional resources for managing COVID-19.

  • NYS myBenefits: An online tool for New York State residents where they can check eligibility for multiple human services benefit programs and apply online for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

  • nystateofhealth: As part of the State's ongoing response to the pandemic, the open enrollment period for uninsured New Yorkers is extended through December 31, 2021. New Yorker's can also utilize COVID Alert NY which helps you get timely updates from around the state on COVID-19.

  • AHI Telehealth & COVID ResourcesTelehealth and telemedicine throughout the nine-county North Country region. As well as telehealth-related resource documents for the benefit of regional organizations.

  • OMH Emotional Support Hotline:  1-844-863-9314

  • Official Website of the City of New York: The latest guidance from the NYC Health Department and what NYC residents need to know about COVID-19.

  • Text COVID to 692-692 to be enrolled in Notify NYC and get the latest updates on the coronavirus in New York City. You can also text COVIDESP to the same number and get the updates in Spanish.
