More than 100 take part in Clinton High School poverty simulation
More than 100 people participated in a Community Action Poverty Simulation hosted by NYSCAA at Clinton High School in Clinton, New York.
Developed by the Missouri Community Action Network, the simulation asks participants to take on the roles of low-income families over four 15-minute “weeks.” They work to cover food, shelter, and other essentials while navigating community resources.
The experience creates a starting point for conversations about poverty and changes communities can make. To learn about bringing a simulation to your community, contact Ryan Flynn.
